On Friday, it’s National Popcorn Day and to celebrate this, I am sharing this delicious popcorn recipe with you. Usually, popcorn is a sweet or salty kind of treat but what if I told you, it could also be spicy?
Enter the buffalo parm popcorn.
To make this, you will need some popcorn, an air popper, some hot sauce, butter, and parmesean cheese.
Why an air popper? Because it makes the best dang popcorn. You don’t need oil. You don’t need a microwave. Just a simple air popper. Pop up your corn and then get ready to make the buffalo sauce for the popcorn. All you need is a few tablespoons of butter and some hot sauce.
Slowly melt the better in the microwave using 10-20 seconds at a time. You don’t want to boil the butter. Take just under a tablespoon of hot sauce and whisk it into the butter. Once it’s all combined, slowly pour the buffalo sauce over the popcorn and gently incorporate into the popcorn until it is fully combined.
Once the sauce is covering the butter, take some grated parmesean cheese and sprinkle it onto the popcorn. You can do as much or as little as you like. The results are a bowl of popcorn that tastes so good. Spicy and slightly salty, perfect for an afternoon treat.
