Christmas Eve. Do you have any traditions? My family does. Once my parents moved to Tampa, they decided they would wear Santa Hats and run along Bayshore Boulevard in Tampa. But that was years ago and no one lives there anymore. My parents and my brothers are coming to my house for Christmas this year and the Santa Hat Run is going to happen. I’ve already scouted out a great location for our run (walk) and I just needed some supplies.
Enter the Oriental Trading Company. They had everything I needed to prepare for a Santa Hat Run prep table. Obviously they had hats, but they also had so.much.more.
Since Colorado boasts “360 days of Sunshine” a year, I got some funky sunglasses. And while our run is for “Santa,” we still incorporate Jesus into our celebration. I got a Nativity set for the kids to play with – okay, I got 3 because these older kids cannot share. I also got a bunch of snacks. After running 2-3 miles, snacks are necessary. These popcorn bags can be personalized and the candy is just perfect. Nothing is better than chocolate at Christmas.
You can also find the candy cane Hershey kisses I used in my cookies this week. It was all pretty perfect. I know turkey trot’s are popular but Christmas is still a pretty snack-heavy holiday and getting in a good run is good for the body and the mind. Disclaimer, We really do a Santa Hat Run every year but this year, I was provided products from Oriental Trading Company for review and all opinions expressed are my own.
