It’s the last week of my Cookie Swappin Good link up and this week, I’m sharing a classic recipe: chocolate chip cookies. They are the perfect cookie to leave out for Santa and are just delicious. These cookies are made with dark brown sugar and corn syrup to give them a super chewy texture, even after they’re a day old. If they even last that long.
Be sure to pack the brown sugar in really well in the measuring cup and make sure the wet ingredients are completely blended before adding in the flour. You don’t want any chunks of Crisco to be in your dough! This recipe makes about 2.5 dozen which is perfect since I know you already have other cookies and desserts around the house.
Since you’re using dark brown sugar, the cookies look a little dark when they’re done but that is normal. If the middle is cooked and the cookie looks “overdone,” you’re fine. The darker the sugar, the darker the cookie. So what’s the recipe? Check it out below!
