I’ll be honest. For quite some time, I did not understand the whole planner craze. Sure, they’re pretty but I didn’t see the point. I mean, my iPhone can keep track of my appointments and I don’t have that many so what’s the need? I am also am a die-hard wall calendar girl. My mom has gotten me one for Christmas every year since forever.
But then I found Plum Paper does fitness planners. And that was something I could use.
First, I picked out the cover I wanted. They have so many choices. You can even get your monogram put in the center of the cover but I’m not that Southern so I opted for my full name and the year. I chose purple because it’s my favorite color. The hardest part was that they have so many purple covers to pick from. What’s a girl to do? But I guess that’ll just make reordering easy.
When you first open up a new month, there’s a section for goals, birthdays, and other notes. I really like that. I don’t like make New Year’s Resolutions for all 12 months, I like to do them monthly so this is perfect for me.
There’s also a nice calendar overview where you can plug in appointments, important dates, etc. This will pretty much mirror my wall calendar. I also may use it to pencil in blog topics.
Each day of the month is broken down in 4 sections. Morning, Afternoon, and Evening calorie intake and lines for food and then the fitness section at the bottom of each day. There’s also a weekly goal and checklist along the side.
I love this idea because it’ll be easy to look back and say “did I meet my goal? Where am I still struggling? What did I blow out of the water?” The Army has beaten data analysis into me and I’m not that mad about it. 😛
