On our last day in Maui, we decided to do something different. Instead of choosing things to do that the kids would like, we did things that we would like. Sure, the Surfing Goat has goats to keep but the kids have 0 interest in a winery. Get over kiddos because the wine here is made with pineapple and is amazing.
This is Maui’s only winery and it is really good. King Kamehameha V liked it so much, he had a room built on the property so he could come and party whenever he wanted. Now that’s something I could get with.
Next we went to Surfing Goat Cheese. In Maui, the resorts are on the other side of the island so when you commit to drive somewhere, you better make the most of your time. We thought going cheese tasting would be fun and the kids could feed the goats. Although Piglet tried really hard to convince us that there would be pigs there, not goats, because “what’s a goat?”
The goat farm was super fun and we were able to buy some cracked peppercorn and goat cheese to take home with us. So far, we’ve eaten it with steak and I think I’m going to make a stuffed pasta dish with the rest of it.
Only 1 more island in Maui County to go!
