Recently I had my 24 week check up. My weight gain is doing fine, baby’s heartbeat is solid and in the 140s. My midwife asked me if I feel the baby move and I said “oh yes, since like 17 weeks!”
With my other two, I barely felt them. And when I did, it was near the end of my pregnancy when they were big and running out of room. This little one? He’s letting me know that he is here. I thought it weird that I felt him so soon but I just left it as a blessing since I went into this pregnancy so nervous and anxious.
|25 week belly|
Turns out, for the first time, I don’t have an anterior placenta! Who knew? I guess this time, my placenta is way in the back (but looks great according to the ultrasound tech!) and that’s the reason why I’m feeling so many kicks.
Either way, I’m happy. Sometimes I purposely lay in a position that makes Macadamia Nut kick just to be reassured that yes, he’s still there. As if this belly wasn’t an indication. But I can’t be the only one to do that. Right?
