Want a super easy and super yummy dinner? One that your kids will love just as much as you? Well, look no further than this Cheesy Bacon Mac. It’s got 4 ingredients: noodles, bacon, chicken, and a jar of your favorite cheddar cheese sauce (we used Ragu).
First up, chop the bacon up and cook it on the stove top. While the bacon is cooking, pre-heat the oven to 450 degrees and set some water to boil. Once the bacon is done, carefully spoon out the bacon and save as much of the bacon grease as you can.
Cut the chicken into bite sized cubes and cook it in the bacon grease. Do not question me. Just do it. It’s bacon and macaroni and cheese. This is not a “healthy” night, get over it and eat some delicious chicken. Cook the noodles and drain.
Place the noodles in a bowl and mix in the jar of cheese sauce and chicken. Put that into an oven-friendly dish and sprinkle the bacon on the top. Bake for 10-20 minutes until hot and bubbly. The enjoy.
I came up with this one night and decided to give it a try. I’ve had bacon in my mac and cheese at restaurants before but for some reason never at home. Which is weird because bacon is yummy. Our commissary has Cracker Barrel brand thick cut bacon and so I used that. It was great. It made me miss CB though but oh well.
