Welcome back to Racing the Summer with Jost Running! Since I’ve just restarted racing, I haven’t been doing more than 3 miles at a time. This month, I decided to tackle the Crank It Up 10K. I took 3 days to run it and I chose some great places to do it.

The first day, I went to this park that we ran through during our half marathon last October. Running along the beach is gorgeous. So relaxing and calm. This isn’t by the beaches that you swim at, it’s more of a bay area. It’s actually where old Navy ships go to mothball so it’s got some cool sights. That I didn’t take a picture of it. Oops. 😛

The last day was boring at Schofield. I don’t know if you know this but the Army teaches us that when we go into an area, we have to find the least wanted place ever. It has to have little to no tactical advantage to the enemy so that we can stay safer while we rest. The Army did that here because Schofield is in the shitty part of the island. There’s no beach and it rains damn near everyday. Meanwhile, the Air Force and Navy are at Pearl Harbor and the Marines are in K-Bay. Ugh. Back to the run….I ran a little more than 2.5 miles because I misjudged my route so my 10K was really more of an 11K. Go me!
