Piglet is a stuffed animal man. He’s got like 10 that live on his bed and are his special buddies. He’s got a monkey that is his number one cuddle bug. I am also a stuffed animal person. I have had a stuffed bunny for as long as I can remember.
Blueberry is a blanket girl.
Even though I’ve gotten her cute stuffed animals and even sewed some for her, she still drags a pink blanket around all day. If she’s acting sad, we’ll say “go get your blankie” and she brings it back to us for a cuddle. It’s pretty cute. Hubs told his mom about it over the weekend and she said “well of course, you had a blankie too.” It’s just another checkmark for him, seeing as Blueberry is a Daddy’s Girl.
Me? I don’t know how to handle it. She drags it through the house, which let’s be honest, it’s always 100% clean (hey, we live here!) so it gets dirty. The other day, she spilled milk and used the blanket to wipe it up. Cute yes, helpful, not so much.
She even brought it to the store the other day. Gives me the shivers thinking of all the dirt she’s collecting but she likes it so that’s all that matters. I mean, Piglet brings Monkey EVERYWHERE and I know that dude ain’t the cleanest.
What about your kids? Do they have a special lovey?
