Lately, I’ve been running a lot and I recently got a set of new headphones since the ones that came stock with my iPhone are burning out. I decided to make a cute case that hold my phone and my headphone while I run and since I’m so nice, I decided to make a tutorial so you can make your own.
First of all, measure your iPhone. I measured mine in my case at 3.5 inches by 5 inches. Then I cut out the outer shell and I measured the pocket for the headphones, I took off an inch and measured 3.5 inches by 4 inches. I also measured out interfacing for the outer fabric.
Then I ironed the interfacing to the fabric and I iron down a little bit on the pocket fabric.
Then I cut out 2 pieces for the lining, I decided to use the same fabric as the pocket fabric.
I then sewed across the ironed down part of the pocket to keep it secure.
Next, I sewed the pocket to the front of the case. Make sure you don’t sew across the top of the pocket or it won’t be a pocket anymore!
Then, stuck the right sides together of the outside and the lining and sewed around the sides and bottom. I clipped the corners when I finished.
I turned the lining ride-side out and stuffed it into the outer shell (which is still inside out) and ironed it flat. I sewed around the top, leaving a little bit open so I could turn it around.
I turned it right-side out and pressed it. I pressed in the raw edges and top stitched it across the top and down the sides. Then I stuck my iPhone inside the case and my new headphones in the pocket. It fits perfectly and works awesome inside my pocket while working out.
