First off, let me say this – I love dogs. They’re cool, I want one, The Hubster wants one.
Here’s what I don’t love. My new neighbors with dogs. The people who moved in behind us have 2 dogs, a German Shepherd and I think a lab mix and from what I can gather – they are outside dogs. I know our houses aren’t very big but I do not understand the concept of outside dogs. If I have a dog or a cat, I’d want to hug and cuddle them not leave them outside all the time.
These dogs are outside day and night, rain or shine. They don’t even have a bed to lay on or anything. It’s very sad. And they bark. All. The. Time. All the mom does is yell out the window “hey, shut up!” It’s not very loving.
They bark at Piglet while he plays in the yard. He was afraid to play outside when they first moved in. Luckily, now, he doesn’t care. It doesn’t seem like they’re very loved as pets.
We also got a duplex-mate this weekend. They have a white husky. It’s a very beautiful dog. It’s all annoying as hell. While they were moving in, they had the dog chained between our houses and he ATE one of our college flags that are planted in my flowerbed. And they didn’t even come over to apologize.
They also don’t have a fence yet so they dog in inside all the time. And he whines. Loudly. I am hoping that once the fence gets put in and dog gets adjusted to his new house, he will stop whining so much. Right now, it’s just very annoying.
I already feel like this house is bursting at the seams with all of us inside and with these 2 crazy dog families, I’m getting more irritated by the day.
I also hope that a major source of my irritation is my pregnancy hormones. Although the whinny dog woke me up at 6:45 this morning so if he wakes up Blueberry, I will not be a very happy camper.
