Well, I’m 13 weeks pregnant. 13w3d to be exact. Who’s splitting hairs anyway? According to half the websites and books, I’m done with the first trimester! Some disagree on the weeks but whatever, second trimester, here I am!
Let’s look back at the goals and see how I did…
Goal One: Work out at least 4 days of week – Failed. I did at least 3 but honestly, I was so very tired all the time that working up the energy to go was a stretch too far.
Goal Two: Do not gain any weight – Success! I actually lost 5 pounds and I have been eating more than usual. I haven’t been starving myself. I’ve been eating when I’m hungry and I’ve been feeling pretty good.
Goal Three: Make some baby clothes – Failed. I completely forgot about this goal. Maybe once we know the gender, it’ll be more motivation to make some stuff.
Goal Four: Hang out with The Hubster – Partial Success. We were doing great until he took command. Lately, he’s been working a lot
cleaning up the mess left by the old CO and we haven’t been able to hang out as much as we’d like.
So, now I’m starting what some people call “The Honeymoon” phase of pregnancy. All I feel is a belly starting to poke out and it’s making my clothes feel tight and uncomfortable. I am expecting to wake up any day now with a huge bump. Right now, I just look bloated. Or like I’m eating too many doughnuts. Which I’m not eating any because the closest Krispy Kreme is 45 minutes away. No bueno.
