I feel like I’ve been neglecting my blog. I always want to blog but I rarely can find the time or topics to write. I’ve decided to give myself a weekly challenge, I’m calling it Sewing Sunday. If you’re my friend on facebook, you know I post pictures of my sewing projects and crafts almost daily. I’ve decided to do 1 project every Sunday and tell you all about it.
This past week, The Hubster bought me a book; “Wild and Wonderful Fleece Animals.” It has 20 different animals to make ranging from the normal, cat and dog, to the strange, a centipede. I want to make all 20. I don’t know if the next 20 Sunday’s will be fleece animals but at some point, I’d like to have made the entire book.
I started off with the bunny, or as the book calls them, Rosie Rabbits. It’s a pattern for a mom and a baby. In the book, they are a pale pink. I wanted to make them almost the same but with some contrast so I used hot pink and light pink.
Since the hot pink reminded me so much of Pepto Bismal, that’s what I named them. Ha. Not very original but I figured at some point someone was going to make fun of me for the uber-bright color so I beat them to the punch.
Pepto and her daughter Bismol.
So, there you go, my first installment of Sewing Sunday. Maybe one day, we’ll all do one and link up.
