Well, it’s been a while since I’ve shared eating out gluten free but we went on a date to The Melting Pot and I just had to share. I made reservations online and added that we would need a gluten free menu. When we were seated, the manager came over and talked to us about gluten free options. She asked if it was celiac or just an intolerance and I appreciated that. It turns out the section we were sitting at was designated gluten free! Can all places do this? Thanks.
They have so many choices and have gluten free bread to dip. We got a four-course meal and started off with the cheese, we got the Wisconsin classic, and then a salad course which I just got a house salad with their peppercorn ranch on the side.
For our main course, we got the coq au vin and the French Quarter meats, they were all so delicious. I was very pleased that I could still eat the green goddess sauce because that and mushrooms is my jam. For dessert, we got a bananas foster. They had gluten free brownies and pound cake and it was so yummy.
Overall, it was a great experience and I didn’t get sick. The care the manager and waitress took were so appreciated and we will definitely be back. If you’ve got celiac or gluten issues, The Melting Pot is a must-try!
