When we first got to Colorado, the first hike we did was Seven Falls. It’s more of a nature walk and is full of great scenery. We decided to do it again as a possible last hike in Colorado. Our time here is running out so this could be our last. The big kids did great and Mac walked most of it – which was cool because when we first got here, Mac couldn’t even walk!
We picked a great day to go and since we haven’t been here almost a year, they had added some things. The animal picture section was new as well as a couple seated areas that were under construction when we went there the first time. The animal picture section was a kid favorite so we stayed around there for a good 20 minutes.
We made it to the top faster than anticipated but I guess it’s easier to walk up when I’m not 30 weeks pregnant. Who knew? The big kids and I were going to walk up the stairs to the very very top but we all chickened out so we took the elevator to the observation deck and were satisfied with those views.
We hiked back to the bottom and I decided I wanted a picture with all 3 kids but they had other ideas. Oh well. I hope as they get older, they’ll be more willing to take group pictures. Or who knows? Maybe they’ll all be moody teenagers and I still won’t get a group shot.
So, have you ever walked Seven Falls? Do you have any tips for group pictures? Please share some! 😛
