Since the weather is starting to get warmer, although windy, we decided to go to the Garden of the Gods one more time before we leave Colorado. This time, we took our double stroller so we could go off road so we were able to see more of the trails that just the sidewalk part like we did last time. I had wanted to eat at the Market at the Garden of the Gods for lunch but we got called away for a showing of our house so we will have to go back to the area for a meal at some point.
Mac didn’t want to ride in the stroller and I am sure if we were able to do our entire hike, he would have grabbed a ride but he didn’t so he actually walked the entire time which is impressive for such tiny legs. Everyone was very excited to get out and about. I love the rocks at the Garden of the Gods. They are so huge and you can just walk right up to them and feel the enormousness of them. I also like that it is free to park and free to walk so when our trip got cut short, we were not out any money.
If you couldn’t tell by their shirts, we did this hike on St. Patrick’s Day. I was determined to get a shot of all 4 kids, like I mentioned here, and thankfully, the kids all mostly complied. I wanted to get a picture of them with the rocks in the background and when Blueberry found a nice rock that everyone could sit on, I knew we were in for some good photos. I am so thankful for the burst function on my phone because you can take like 40 pictures in 5 seconds.
Overall, it was a really nice hike and if we have time, I would love to go again. The trails are well-kept and everyone you run into is super nice. Have you ever been to the Garden of the Gods? Would you go on vacation here just to go? Hubs is obsessed with people who vacation here so let me know if this is a place you want to visit!
