Since fall break for Piglet fell over the entire week of Thanksgiving, we decided to take the whole week off and fly to my parents house in Florida. They are finally living back in the States so we were excited for a short plane ride to see them. We flew on Piglet’s birthday and Blueberry’s was yesterday but since all the family was together, we did birthday presents the day before Thanksgiving.
Blueberry has been so pumped for her birthday since…the day after her birthday last year. It’s ridiculous. She recites our birthday order and is sad she is last and that she has to wait “so long” for her big day. Piglet, who hates change, used to hate getting a new age but accepted 7 without issue this year and got some cool presents to boot.
After they opened their stuff, Nugget got to open his first birthday presents and poor Mac got a consolation present. Poor spring birthday. They loved what they got and immediately went into share-mode where Shopkins were playing on Duplo. What can you do?
They next day was Thanksgiving and we were a full house. Seven adults and 4 kids. Somehow we all squeezed onto my childhood table. For our meal we had: fried turkey, ham, asparagus, green beans, shrimp, mashed potatoes, roasted sweet potatoes, deviled eggs, and the gluten-eaters had stuffing. Nugget also had a delicate banana puree. 😛
I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving too! Less than a month to Christmas, are you ready??
