Happy Thanksgiving week yall! We are currently in Florida, living up it up in the warmth and I am not looking forward to coming back to cold Colorado. Since it’s a holiday week, I wanted to give a quick update on life lately before sharing all the Christmas posts I have planned.
I was given a copy of 30 Days of Joy and The Daily Question for review and these are some pretty cool books. I am going to be doing 30 Days of Joy starting on the 26th and I am pretty excited. Each page has a prompt and a lot of white space to let your creativity flow. The Daily Question is a 5 year book where you answer the same question on the same day for 5 years. I am excited to start it in January and see how much I change.
My big kids are celebrating their birthdays this week! Piglet turned 7 yesterday and Blueberry will turn 5 next week. We are having their party in Florida since all the family will be together. I can’t believe how big they’re getting. I was making Blueberry’s shirt and was like “this can’t be right, this 5 looks weird” because I cannot believe she is 5 already! Time flies.
I received this game for review from Blogging for Books and I really like it. The kids were pretty good at remembering where the cards were to make matches. My favorite part about the game is how unique the cards are. No lame animals or random toys here! Pluto was especially funny because the kids were like “that’s not Pluto!” thinking about Mickey Mouse’s pet. There is even a set of blank cards so you can create your own match.
And finally, I decided to give Whole30 another shot. This time, it will only be 28 days because I don’t want to be restrictive on Christmas Eve and Christmas. I am going to be incorporating a new workout routine and a daily cup of peppermint tea. Using my traveler’s notebook, I made up a calendar to help keep me on track. Each day, I will fill in the box, assuming I eat properly and get a workout in.
What’s going on in your neck of the woods?
