Christmas is in less than a month. Can you believe it? I cannot. While we are done with the kid presents, I still have to get my family presents and finish up Hubs stuff. Luckily, I have the kid’s teacher gifts already prepared. I have been secretly obsessed with diy ornaments for a while now and this year, we decided to make these for my kid’s teachers. You can get all the supplies here and since it’s from Oriental Trading, you know they’ll be affordable and still perfect quality.
To make our ornaments you need:
- Clear, open ornaments
- Assortment of glass beads
- Fake snow fleece
- Tiny Christmas trees
- Ornament hooks
- Gift Bags and tags
- Hot glue gun
Measure the bottom of the ornament and cut out a circle of fake snow. Using your hot glue gun, secure it to the bottom.
Glue a Christmas tree to the fake snow and press so that the tree is standing straight up.
Pick out a glass bead and glue it next to the tree. I chose penguins, snowmen, peppermint, and gingerbread. Since I picked 2 trees, each ornament is unique.
Since I used a hot glue gun, the glue set pretty much immediately. Be sure to remove any glue strings that may be on the ornament and then add on a hook. These ornaments are plastic so I won’t be worried about having Piglet hand carry them on the bus. He is so excited to give them and Blueberry is also pumped too. She helped make the ones for her teachers and I think they all turned out great.
Have you thought of making an ornament as a teacher gift? What would you make?
