Are you ready for fall? I have to say it never really got hot in Colorado so I’m glad this fake summer is over. Hubs loves fall, it is the kick off to the holiday season. Recently, I was taking a romantic stroll down the aisles of my favorite craft store and found this amazing glitter heat transfer vinyl (HTV) and I knew I had to make something great. I just didn’t know what. I finally decided on a fall banner and headed home to get to crafting.
You only need 4 things:
- Gold heat transfer vinyl
- A burlap banner (similar)
- Silhouette Portrait or another digital cutter, you can also cut your letters out by hand if you don’t have a cutter available
- An iron
Since my banner had 6 pennants, I cut out the word FALL and 2 leaf outlines for either end. Once the HTV is cut, you’re ready to iron it on!
Arrange the HTV where you want it on your pennant and then place a piece of scrap fabric down. With your iron on the hottest setting apply pressure to the design for 30-60 seconds. Once the backing peels away easily, your design is set. Repeat for each letter. Once I have done them all, I like to cool the iron down and run it over the design to ensure a good stick. Don’t worry about the glitter, it doesn’t come off!
Once you’re done, hang it on your banner and get ready to celebrate the “ber” months!
Are you ready for fall? I know a few of you want some PSL, don’t lie. 😉
