Hello hello hello! Last week, I shared how we meal plan week-by-week. This week, I am sharing how to make a half month’s worth of freezer meals in just 90 minutes! And as a bonus for you, I have your grocery list and recipes all right for you to download. Once you print off the shopping list, head to the store to gather your supplies.
I was able to get most of the food from Sam’s Club since several of the recipes use the same vegetables and meat. For prep, all you have to do is chop the veggies and add it to the bag. The only meat that you need to pre-cook is the ground beef for the chili. How easy is that? I’ll be traveling a lot for work for the remainder of the year so these meals will make home cooking easier for Hubs since he also works full time.
Be sure to label the bags so you know what you’re cooking, it sounds obvious but as I was cleaning out the freezer, I found 3 meals that weren’t labeled! So that will be fun when we defrost those. Anyway, the meals are:
- Steak and Peppers
- Luscious Lemon Chicken
- Beef and Broccoli
- Chicken Pot Pie Soup
- Pineapple Pork
- BBQ Pork
- Mexican Chicken
- Pork Verde
- Ham and Bean Soup
- Pork Roast
- Beef Stew
- Chicken Fajitas
Once you have your bags loaded, lay them flat to freeze so that they are smaller when you store them in the fridge. If you let them just crumple, the bags will be fatter than needed and will take up precious freezer space.
When you’re ready to cook, you can either defrost it overnight and then cook in the slow cooker the next day or you can cut the bag off in the morning and put it in the slow cooker. Many of these meals are served over rice so be sure to set up your rice cooker too!
Do you make freezer meals? What’s your go-to recipes?
