I don’t know about you but I love calendars. Planners, wall calendars, desk calendars, you name it – I have it. I also have a huge family and keeping track of everyone’s appointments is crazy. My wall calendar is too small to write out everyone’s activities and Hubs rarely looks at it anyway. Since the school year is about to start and I am starting a full-time job, we have many moving pieces. I decided to create a bulletin board family calendar and to keep down on the amount of writing that needs to be done, I picked up a 10 pack of G2 Premium Gel Roller Pack at Walmart. We love these pens. Blue G2 pens are my go-to work pen and so getting the colorful pack was a no-brainer. You can find them in the stationary section and the back-to-school section. I got all my supplies for the calendar either from the back-to-school section or the office section or you can click the picture below and shop right from here!

For this tutorial, you will need:
- 1 bulletin board
- 1 10 pack of G2 Premium Gel Roller Pack
- push pins
- colored tape
Using your ruler to keep the tape straight, tape 5 lines along the bulletin board. Write out the month and using a push pin, attach it to the top of the board. Make sure the tape is the width of your notecards so that you can put up a card for each day with no overlap.
Using one of your G2 Gel Pens, write out the date in the corner of a card. You will need a card for every day. I picked a darker blue since I chose to use the bright colors for our family members.
Using your push pins, attach the cards in the correct order. I also put a “key” in the top corner so Hubs knows which color pen to grab before adding a new entry to the calendar. I also picked up a pen holder so that our pens are always nearby. This pen holder holds the notecards too so that at the end of the month, I don’t have to go hunting for them when it’s time to make the next month’s cards.
I really think this calendar will help keep our family on track this school year, and beyond. Do you have a scheduling system in your home? What’s your favorite way to incorporate G2 Gel Pens into your life?
