We love Disney World in this house. We even went to there for our honeymoon. Our oldest 2 kids were able to go to the Magic Kingdom at 1 month old since they have November birthdays and we went home to Florida for the holidays. But we haven’t been in 3 years since we were in Hawaii. We did go to Aulani but it is no Disney World. My big brother got married in Florida and so we decided to make this a vacation. We hit up Disney World for 3 days after his wedding. Today, I’m going to share our trip to the Magic Kingdom and Disney Springs (which used to be Downtown Disney).
We stayed off site since we need a suite and the Holiday Inn was waaay cheaper. They have a free shuttle to the parks but no strollers were allowed. Thank goodness we hadn’t turned in our rental car. We took the ferry to the Magic Kingdom and met up with my parents and little brother. In the morning we did the classics: Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, and the Buzz Lightyear game in Tomorrowland. We also did the magic carpet ride and Dumbo. Having the app and FastPasses were so key. You can even use it to make dinner reservations which we did since a party of 6 is hard to do spur of the moment. A party 6 and up has gratuity added automatically though so that was kind of irritating considering one was a non-eating infant. I digress…
We took the monorail back to the parking lot and headed over to Disney Springs since I forgot to get Mac and Nugget some ears. The other 2 got ears on their first trip so I had to get them for the babies. We walked around and ended up eating at Bongos, which is Gloria Esteban’s restaurant and it was so good. All the restaurants had plenty of gluten free options so I was super excited about that. The restaurant in Tomorrowland had a separate cooking area. The meal took a little longer but it was the same cost and I didn’t get sick.
Stay tuned for Animal Kingdom and our trip to Epcot!
