Guys, the 4th of July is NEXT WEEK! America is having another birthday. Or as my kids say, Captain America’s Birthday. Not sure if that is canon but here we are. This year, I wanted to make a wreath that was patriotic but didn’t scream the 4th of July so that it could be used year round. I wanted to do a square wreath because it’s not something you see everyday. So gather up some twine, burlap, and a square wreath and let’s get started!
First, I super glued the twine to one end of the wire wreath and then wrapped the twine around each of the long ends. For the corners, I glued 3 pieces of blue burlap ribbon to the corners. Be sure to be careful not to burn yourself using the hot glue gun because, man, it can hurt.
To hang the wreath, I used some red star burlap. I glued the top together and then used some command hook strips to secure it to the door. It’s a quick and simple craft and I think it turned out super cute. And chances are, it will be up until Labor Day so that works out.
Do you have a 4th of July wreath? I would love to see what you made!
