The past weekend, there was a Living History event on post and we decided to check it out. Since moving to Colorado, we struggle to find things to do. Even with our bucket list, we never know what to do when the weekend rolls around. Consider us spoiled by Hawaii. Anyway, this was free and so off we went.
The middle kids enjoyed it the most. Blueberry lead the charge to each exhibit and Mac toddled behind. She is so fascinated by Army things so this was perfect for her.
The event was partnered with the museum on base so the artifacts were pretty cool to see. Also all the Soldiers who were in costume were in character the entire time, which I got a kick out of. Piglet enjoyed seeing how big all the vehicles were. Seeing them drive past us on the road does not compare to seeing them up close and personal.
The got to go inside a stryker and an apache. Piglet liked that one the best. Maybe we have a future pilot on our hands? Who knows. He is only 6 after all.
Have you ever gone to a living history event? What was your favorite part?
