Hey, remember our house? I kind of forgot to keep sharing it. To be fair, the rooms I haven’t shared were decorated for the holidays and our master suite was just blah. Anyway, we finally decided on what we wanted to do with the room, including rearranging the furniture, and I love how it turned out. The room is big. Like unnecessarily big and opens up to a little nook and French doors. We decided to put our old headboard here because we were considering actually getting a headboard. Spoiler, we didn’t.
Our dressers are along the wall together and then our bed in on the window wall. It used to be on a different wall and that made the room a little weird. We also decided to get rid of our comforter and get a quilt. I got this navy quilt from Amazon. It comes with 2 pillow shams. I’m also still using my labor of love as my side table and the cats love it. Since Nugget is still sleeping in our room, we are rocking a pack-n-play. One day it’ll be gone and I’ll probably cry.
Of course no room is complete without His and Hers Command Guidons, am I right? Our diplomas, guidons, my Kentucky Colonel appointment, and Girl Scout Gold Award are the things we decided to hang in our room. I like it. It’s like a tribute to our accomplishments. Since the room is so big, we got a chair and hung a shelf for books. I put my Harry Potter collection on it. My books from when they were first released. My grandma actually bought them all for me. She would buy them, read them, write me a letter, and send them to me. I still have the letters and used them as the bookmarks. I am so excited for the kids to hear these books. Potterhead for life!
How did you decorate your master bedroom? Was it hard for you? This was definitely our toughest room so far.
