Are you ready for Easter? I often find things in the store and wish they were a little more “me” and a little less “commercial.” If you feel the same, I have 2 tutorials for you today to personalize some items you can find at Oriental Trading Company. I picked out a couple items and then using vinyl stickers and washi tape, I was able to create personalized Easter crafts at a more affordable rate.
I decided to get a hard Easter basket this year and this sand bucket set is perfect. 4 kids, 4 buckets. It was written in the stars. I got some vinyl and made little bunny stickers. You can even add you kid’s names to make it even more personal. For the eggs, I got some dinosaur eggs with dino finger puppets inside and these adorable rocket bunnies. How cute? I mean seriously. These took about 5 minutes to personalize and now no one but us as buckets like these. Well, unless you also make them too. 😉
Next up, I used these stand up eggs and a bunch of washi tape. I’ve never worked with washi tape so I didn’t really know what to expect. Turns out, it’s pretty cool. Line up or layer your washi tape all over your egg. I gave the kids the rolls and just let them go nuts. They loved it. Once the egg is covered, use some scissors to trim the edges or just fold the tape over to the back. It’s a fun and mess-free craft to do with your family. And you just made a bunch of decorations to place around the house!
Do you have any fun and easy Easter crafts to share? I’d love to see what you’re crafting this holiday season.
