Happy Spring! We survived our first winter in Colorado. It was relatively mild but also really dry so everything around us is brown and dead. I am looking forward to rain and flowers and grass. I’m also glad the weather will be getting warm so I can kick the kids outside when they get too stir crazy. This weekend, it was nearly 80 degrees so we grabbed the tea set and some Walkers Shortbread Fingers and had us a teddy bear picnic. Do you remember that song? Anyway, the kids were so pumped for it.
Of course, the kids didn’t drink tea, we had some apple juice and but the bears “drank” tea from the teapot and everyone enjoyed their cookies. Walkers Shortbread Fingers are pure butter shortbread that have a perfect melt-in-your-mouth texture with a full butter flavor and just the right amount of sweetness. And their finger shape is perfect for little hands.
The kids had some much fun. We’ve never really done anything like this before with our stuffed animals because those are usually just “inside” toys but we made an exception and I was pretty happy with it. They did good with leaving their teddy’s on the blanket – even though the blanket got covered in juice. Oh well. That’s what washing machines are for.
Have you ever had a teddy bear picnic with your kids? What are some fun springtime activities that you’re looking forward to?
