I am the first person to admit that I am not a crunchy mama. So why I am telling you coconut oil belongs in the bathroom and not the kitchen? Okay well you can still cook with it but I’m sharing my 5 favorite ways to use coconut oil as a part of my beauty routine. And no oil pulling involved. 😉
A little Coconut Oil on your nail beds can do wonders. I am constantly washing my hands, between diaper changes and washing up after making gluten-filled foods for my kids. After you wash your hands, rub a little into the cuticle and around your nail. Smooth nails for all!
Before I put my makeup on, I put lotion on my face and coconut oil on my lips. The oil takes a few moments absorb and makes your lips really smooth. It’s also great for when you want to wear matte lipstick.
Colorado is dry. So dry I have 2 humidifiers in my room but my nose still gets dry. Putting a little coconut oil on a qtip and rubbing it on the inside of your nose helps so much. My husband has had way less nosebleeds.
Got a newborn? There’s nothing better for cradle cap than coconut oil. Rub some gently into his hair after a bath and after a few times, the dry patches will be gone!
So, what about you? What do you use coconut oil for besides cooking?
