Last year, I set monthly goals and I was able to keep most of them. This year, I don’t want to do that. Honestly, coming up with 3 to 4 goals every month was taxing. I’ve seen recently the trend to pick a word and decided to jump of the internet bandwagon. For 2017, I want to do things with purpose. So often, I set goals for either this blog, my kids, my life, my workout routine, my whatever but I don’t really see the point in doing it so this year, I will be trying to live purposefully.
In order to keep myself on track with my motivator, I cut out a design and stuck it on my bulletin board so I can see it every day. I’ve been trying to get my desk to be more functional so keeping the sign up will hopefully remind me not to dick around and do things all willy-nilly.
I also am still in love with my lightbox so for this week’s phrase, I’ve got another reminder. I keep it next to my mini-happy planner which I use to plan out my blog posts and my weekly checklist. I am really digging the whole word thing so I hope I can keep my activities on track.
A couple things I want to accomplish this year are:
- blog consistently 3 times a week
- add 4 new items to my Etsy shop per month
- workout 4 times a week and get back into running races
- grow in my career (no, not my SAHM career, I’m rejoining the workforce and will be drilling again with a reserve unit)
I think I can do all these things with purpose and that way I will be able to do my tasks and manage my time better.
What about you? Do you have a word or phrase for the year?
