Another Kids Clothes Week is in the bag! I really didn’t plan for this one and I honestly thought about not doing it because I was feeling lazy. After looking through the fabric I had on hand, I decided there were some pieces begging to be made so I got down to business. On the first day, I was able to cut out all 7 pieces and then each night, I sewed 1 garment up. It was super nice having it already cut out. It’s the worst part of any project, in my opinion.
I made these PJ pants for Piglet. He saw the fabric and was excited for “outer space pants!” He also likes watching Doctor Who with me so I thought these would be perfect for him.
I made this little knit PJ set for Mac. I love this pattern because I don’t have to make a traditional neckband – which I am terrible at. I’ve also had this knit for….6 years? And never made anything with it. I’m super pumped about how it turned out.
These were just a simple flannel PJ pants or lounge pants for Mac. I once made a stuffed lamb out of the fabric and the kids still play with it to this day so it’s kind of cute to have clothes to match their toys.
Piglet got another pair of PJ pants, this time robots! I bought this fabric when Piglet was 6 months old. You can see my pattern. Buy fabric today, sew with it….at some point!
These birdy shorts for Blueberry were fun. They are nice and breezy and were a quick sew. She was thrilled to finally have something as I had started sewing mostly for the boys at the beginning of the week.
I used this pattern as a jump for these lobster pants. I couldn’t find my pocket pattern so I just winged it but it worked out. Piglet loves pants with pockets. It’s a struggle on laundry day but that’s a small battle to lose in exchange for his happiness. He is always finding treasures and carrying them around.
Finally, I made Blueberry another Izzy Top. I can’t help it! They look great and are too fast when sewing. I also LOVE this Hawaiian fabric and glad I finally picked an outfit that will showcase the design.
So, did you do any sewing for Kids Clothes Week? I’d love to see!
