A couple weeks ago, Hubs was in the field. He was allowed to go out on a Friday night but had to be back by midnight and couldn’t leave until 5. This was too late to really come all the way to our house so we decided to meet up in Waikiki and have a date night. Luckily, our sitter is amazing and watched the kids. I’ve heard from several people that the Top of Waikiki is a great restaurant. It is one of those revolving ones so you get a nice view of pretty much everything. Also, the first conversation Hubs and I ever had outside of work was in a revolving restaurant so they’re special to us. 😉
From where we were seated, we shifted right in front of the ocean to see the sunset. It was quite a lovely sight. Once it was dark, it was a little weird to look out and see nothing but hey, that’s the Pacific Ocean for you.
For our appetizer, we got garlic shrimp. It was so yummy! I got surf and turf for my main course and Hubs got the salmon. It was all delicious. My steak was cooked perfectly and while I don’t usually like lobster, this was pretty good. Hubs ate his meal before I even had a chance to ask him how it was. I guess it was delicious.
You get free parking if you eat at the restaurant and our waiter validated us for a few more hours past when we finished our meal so we were able to walk around downtown for a little bit. We got an ice cream and then like high-schoolers, kissed each other good-bye and went our separate ways. lol
Overall, it was a good restaurant, the views are amazing and the food is tasty. I would totally recommend it!
