I was updating my social media profiles the other day and I realized that while I have put my cats on instagram, I never really introduced them to you. How rude, I know. I’ve always grown up with cats and so when I moved out on my own, I knew I wanted one or two. Cats are easy, put down some food and a litter box and you’re good to go.
Anyway…let’s meet the crew.
Colby is the first cat I got, way back in 2008. I was at my first duty station and went to the stray facility on post and rescued her. She’s my homie. I’ve been with her longer than Hubs. Some days, I swear she is yelling at me like “hey, remember when it was just me and you? Let’s do that again.” And like her name, she loves a good cheese snack.
|Ludo, the worry-wart|
I got Ludo in 2009. I named him after the character in The Labyrinth. He had a really rough 6 months before being adopted and I had to litter box train him and he would always cuddle and try to suckle my arm. I guess I’m his mom? Colby will sometimes kneed blankets or my stomach but Ludo would kneed and suckle. He’s much better now but still acts like a typical scaredy cat. Some guests of ours never even see him.
|Issac, the special one|
Issac is our youngest cat, we got him in late 2009. Hubs picked him out and while he is adorable, when we first got him, he had some issues and was sick. So after adopting him and then medicating him to get him to stop pooping everywhere, he’s pretty cool. Although he’s dumb because he thinks he’s a person. He wants to be where the people are and he wants to be involved. So silly, I know. I also think he’s kind of blind because sometimes I will literally step on him because I’m carrying something and didn’t see him and he didn’t see me.
So, there you have it. You finally can put cat names to cat faces. :p I know it was keeping you up at night. Do you have any pets?
