Did you miss day one, be sure to check it out!
Next up on our Maui trip was a morning at the beach and a trip to play mini golf. If Hubs had his way, we’d stay at the beach all day but someone (me) is not a beach person so only going for a few hours is ideal for us. Plus Macadamia Nut it only 2 months old and probably doesn’t want to spend all day in the sun. Even though we did rent a cabana because hello, vacation.
The kids went to play with Hubs and build sand castles while I hung back with the baby. Eventually we traded places and Blueberry demanded I take her swimming so we bounced in the ocean for a while. Piglet got bored and so we packed up and headed to our next adventure.
Macadamia Nut needed an outfit change and we got lunch at Hank’s Haute Dogs. It’s apparently an upscale hot dog place that John saw on TV once. In fact, there were lots of Food Network personalities on the wall, so sure, I got a bacon-wrapped, deep-fried dog and I’m not too sad about that. It had mayo, lettuce, and bacon on it and was amazing.
That afternoon we went to play mini golf. Hubs tried really hard to get the kids to figure it out but they would hit it once and then pick it up and put it in the hole. I was playing with the baby strapped to me so I wasn’t very good. I couldn’t hit the ball very well so it never went far (that’s my story for sucking anyway) but the kids were very supportive. It was pretty funny, they’d be like “Good job Mom!” and then pick up my ball and sink it into the hole.
Overall, it was a great day. I mean, how can you really complain when you get to relax all day?
