One of our more random things on the Hawaiian Bucket List was renting an aquacycle from MWR in Waikiki. Hubs saw them while we were strolling along the beach one night and decided we HAD to do it.
This presents a problem. We either need a baby sitter to take the kids while we go to the beach or we need other adults to go to the beach with us. We never got the chance to go back downtown while Hubs had his mom in town but luckily my parents were in town this weekend and we seized our opportunity!
We ran into some traffic on the way downtown but once we got there, parking was easy and there were umbrellas and lounge chairs to rent for my parents to relax while we went out. Blueberry, of course, stayed by the cabana and played in the sand.
Let me tell you, this wasn’t as easy as it seemed. I was nervous that I was going to fall off or it was going to capsize but there’s zero chance of that happening. The hardest part was getting it to turn. We started off pedaling full speed and quickly realized that was exhausting. LOL
We had 30 minutes to cruise around. We got kind of close to the shore and waved at Piglet who immediately tried to swim to us so we pedaled like mad people to the shore and Piglet got to ride the bike too. It was only $15 for the half hour and was pretty worth it. We would totally do it again!
