When I was little, the day after we had a ham roast for dinner (think Easter, Christmas, etc.) we would have leftover ham in the fridge. My mom would make up some curried ham and we would eat it with eggs and toast. I’m not a big breakfast person but this is one of my favorite things to eat for breakfast.
When I grew up and moved out, it was something I never ate. I don’t like ham roasts so I never had ham. Until one day I decided to buy a ham steak and make it for dinner with rice.
It was so good and I’ve never gone back.
So now it’s one of our go-to dinner items. We eat it with rice and peas and it’s so yummy. So, how’s it made?
First, cube up some steak. Then, melt some butter in a frying pan and add the ham. Coat the ham in the butter and then season with yellow curry powder and honey. Then you let it all simmer together and let the ham crisp up.
Oh, it’s so good! I hope you try it and love it too.
