Here’s the third week that I’m linking up with Chantal, Caitlin, and Caitlin to talk about what us Stay At Home Moms Actually DO during the day. I hope you’re enjoy it so far. Here’s week three!
- How do you entertain with house full of kids? Let’s see….most of our friends have kids that are around the same age as mine. We haven’t had any get togethers since moving here but in Kentucky, we’d have our friends come over and we’d grill out back. The kids could play in our yard and the adults played corn hole. Pretty fun, easy living. I also do a lot of crockpot cooking when company comes over, that way I can hang out and not worry too much.
- What kind of traditions does your family do during holidays? Most of our traditions involved going home to my parent’s house. Except for the last few Thanksgivings where I was either too pregnant to travel or home with a one week old, my whole family came to us. This was the first Thanksgiving without any extended family so we made up our own traditions. We colored in the morning and laid around. So relaxing. Last Christmas was the first one we haven’t gone to Grandma’s house too and the kids were a little too young to start any traditions really. I think next year, they will be old enough to start real family traditions.
- How do feed relationships with non-mommy friends? Non-mommy friends? I don’t even know if I have any anymore. We’re at that age I suppose.
- What do you struggle with the most as a SAHM? What is your best funny/embarrassing/cringeworthy mommy moment? The biggest thing I struggle with is actually being a SAHM. I used to be on active duty and I really miss it. I struggle daily with wearing my “dependent” shirt instead of “service member” shirt. I love hanging out with my kids but this momma needs a break from them to be at her best. I hope I can find some sort of job here because I love my kids but sometimes, I feel like I’ll go crazy staring at their beautiful faces every single day.
