This week, I’m linking up with Munchkins and the Military to share what my accent is. Like Alex said, it is always interesting to see what people actually sound like. I don’t know if I sound like how I write but I’ll leave that for you to decide. What you had to do was read this quiz while filming yourself and then once you finished the quiz, it told you where your accent comes from.
Below is the breakdown of my accent. It’s pretty interesting. I’ve never lived in the North Central but I have a lot of friends who are from that area. Being an Army brat, I really feel like a sponge sometimes when it comes to accents. When I was little, we lived in Germany while my dad was stationed with the Royal Engineers and I came back to America with a British accent! So, while it’s surprising that I have a North Central, I’m also not that shocked since I used to hang out with people from that area.
There’s 2 words that I always say “Southern style” and I kind of wish they were included because then who knows where my results would be. I don’t know about you but I always say “warsh” instead of “wash” and “oooil” instead of “oil.” It’s the most southern thing about me, even though I’ve only ever lived in the south (except for 10 months in Pennsylvania and 3 years in Germany)
You should join the link up too!
