This week we decided to go native. What is more Hawaiian than pineapples? Nothing. Well, maybe smoked pig but I can’t do that in my backyard.
So, we got a fresh pineapple and some hamburgers and got to grilling.
I suppose you could grill your pineapple but we don’t have a fancy tool to cut out the pineapple out in perfect little circles so instead, I chopped up some slices and cooked them on the stove in some teriyaki sauce.
They smelled so good while they cooked. The perfect combination of sweet and umami. Yum!
The Hubster grilled hamburgers that I seasoned with onion powder, garlic powder, and some ginger. It made for one de-lici-ous burger! I can’t wait to make them again.
