I have a picky eater. I have an extremely picky eater. And I was one of those moms who declared while her tiny baby was still growing:
“I will NOT make special meals for my kid. I will make ONE dinner a night and he WILL eat it.”
And then Piglet said “get bent Mom and make me some ramen.” So I did because I cannot deal with his whines. He eats ramen a lot. For lunch. For dinner. Lately, for breakfast.
This was his breakfast choice over the weekend. O_o
I have no idea what to do. I started pinning some cute bento box meals for toddlers in the hopes that I can make them and Piglet will eat them.
How do you “force” your toddler to eat food that he thinks he doesn’t want? Do you just stick it in front of him and say that’s dinner/lunch/breakfast and that’s what you’re eating or you’re going to starve? It seems cruel. He’s almost 3 though and would eat all kinds of food at his daycare. I would make the same foods at home and he’d pitch a fit.
The kid doesn’t even eat sandwiches. He doesn’t like bread? I don’t know. I feel terrible about ramen. It’s really not that good for you. He does have a steady intake of buddy fruits or some other squeezable fruit snack so he is getting fruits and vegetables in. He eats chicken nuggets and ham, sometimes but he mostly just wants noodles. Or cheerios.
Once our HHGs get here, I think I’m just going to make the bentos and not let him leave the table until he eats them.
Unless you know a better way?
