So, I finally got some Bento Boxes and cute little cookie cutters to make some boxes and I decided to share a couple with you.
I’m happy to say that Piglet eats them and hasn’t had ramen in about 5 days. The next couple sentences may be TMI but whatever. Since he’s not been living on cheap Asian noodles and MSG, his body has been adapting. It’s made for a couple epic BMs. I’ve heard other moms talk about how “dirty” food can change a kid’s mood and “clean” food can improve it because there’s not all that toxic crap. Well, Piglet has literally been getting rid of the bad stuff so maybe these moms are up to something!
Here we go!
Dinner: sliced ham, green beans, and cous cous. I made the ham into little piggies. The irony was lost on my 2 year old. He used to love cous cous but he didn’t touch it this time. He also asked for more beans, he ended up eating almost half the can!
Lunch: turkey cats, cheesy dogs, and some grapes. Gobbled down the turkey, loved the grapes, hated the cheese. He gave it to me instead.
Breakfast: mandarin oranges and Cheerios. Easy peasy, he loved it all.
Dinner: chicken & broccoli rice, cheese hotdog, green beans. The “dirtiest” of all the meals since it was Rice-a-Roni and a cheese hotdog but whatever. This time around he ignored the green beans and loved the rice. This kid is super weird.
One thing that I don’t really like about cutting the food out is the dunnage, the remnants on the slices but The Hubster helps out and uses it to make his sandwiches. Win-win!
Have you ever tried Bento Boxes?
