Blueberry is 5 months old today! Where has the time gone? I have no clue. Everyday she’s getting bigger and smarter and I’m so amazed.
Since she is 5 months old, that means that I only have 1 more month to get back into “Army” shape. I’ve been running a bunch lately but I have not been focusing on sit ups or push ups like I should. I am going to have to take a PT test the first weekend of June so I’ve got to kick it in gear.
I downloaded 2 apps for my phone, appropriately called “PushUps” and “SitUps” and I am going to work through those for the next 5 weeks. According to them, I should be able to do 100 push ups and 200 sit ups in a row at the end of 6 weeks, so I’ll hopefully be close enough to that.
It’s been so long since I took a PT test, I had to look up the standards. The minimum amount of repetitions will get me a 60% and the maximum will get me 100%
The minimum for push ups is 17 and the maximum is 46.
The minimum for sit ups is 50 and the maximum is 80.
The minimum for the 2 mile run is 19:36 and the maximum is 15:36.
I’m fairly certain I can get the maximum in push ups, that is too easy. I am going to try really hard to get the maximum in sit ups but I’m not very good at them. Running? I’m shooting for 16 minutes. That’s 2 8-minute miles. I think I can do it.
I also need to kick my diet up a notch since for the last 2 months have haven’t lost anything and according to the Army, the most I can weigh is 152 pounds. Yikes! I am not as close to that as I’d like to be (165) but hopefully I can lose some more weight and be able to make body fat.
