There are 2 antique stores in my town, and I have been wanting to go into them for a while but while The Hubster was gone, I didn’t want to go by myself so I haven’t gone.
Now he is back. And willing to go with me. We’ve been looking for a new side table by the couch that looks good from the front and the back since the couch and table act as a divider between the living room area and dining room area.
After scouring the first store, we only found something that I wanted to buy to store my craft supplies. I’m hoping we go back and get it. 😉
At the second one, we only had a little while before it was time to pick Piglet up from daycare and at the very last minute we found something!
Circular, so it will look good from every angle. It’s solid wood, oak maybe? I’m not a wood expert and has a marble top. It was only $50!
Here’s the front door, I think we might replace the grating with a different patterned one if we can find something.
And here’s the marble top. Perfect condition. I cannot believe that it was only $50. I feel like it was a great deal.
While at Wal-Mart this weekend, we got some sandpaper and some paint & primer mix. We chose a lovely shade of yellow. I was wanting to paint it yellow so it would be cheery and a nice accent piece but I was afraid to say the color but The Hubster either knows me so well or had an equally good vision because he suggested yellow before I could even ask him!
I am super excited to get started. The weather has been nice lately so I hope we can go outside and sand it down this weekend.
