I made a fantastic discovery at the thrift store the other day. I keep seeing these fantastic organizer boards but they cost like $100 and I am not willing to spend that much.
Then, I found this, for only $7.00!
I thought it would be perfect, get rid of the mirror. Paint it. Basically spruce it up. So first, I painted it. I used some leftover paint that I already had from when I redid my dresser.
I left the paint to dry overnight and then thought about what I wanted to put in the frame. I wanted to put a burlap-covered cork board but my local Walmart didn’t have the color burlap that I wanted so I decided to go a different route. I got a foam poster board for $2.00 and a yard of fabric for $3.47. I used some modpodge to glue it on.
When that was dry, I attached it to the frame and hung it up. I think it looks amazing! And it only cost about $12, instead of $100.
And then I put my weekly chore breakdown chart and my daily calisthenics workout on it. There’s still room for some other stuff but I haven’t decided what else to stick on it just yet.
I kind of want to just sit and stare at it though. I am SO thrilled with how it turned out.
